Security Deposit Returns via eCheck

AppFolio has just updated their security deposit return process making it easier and more efficient to refund security deposits after a tenant has moved out. Using AppFolio, you are now able to return security deposits electronically via eCheck. Before this update, returning security deposits was a time consuming process that led to tricky back and forth communication with frustrated residents wandering about the status of their refund. Now this new eCheck feature allows residents to securely provide bank information through their resident portal and elect to receive any remaining balance of their refund via eCheck. Like all outbound eCheck options, there is a $1 fee (included on your monthly AppFolio invoice) for each security deposit sent returned via eCheck. Overall this new function continues to improve AppFolio's functionality and improve the renting experience for both the tenant and property manager.
